Week 30 — The scan stopped at 60, and real clinics went missing

My own directory was missing real dental clinics, because a scan quietly stopped at exactly 60 results. Plus a Malay onboarding form for HelloReply and a florist chatbot that finally checks orders.

Two dental clinics I work with were missing from my own directory. Not because of a bug. The scan that built it quietly stopped at exactly 60 results.

From the archive: my week of 20–26 Jul 2026, written up later from my notes. Short version.

What broke, and how I fixed it

The list that stopped at 60
BrokeReal clinics were missing from the SabahGuide directory, including ones I work with.
FixThe scan that collected them stopped at exactly 60 results. Re-scanned the city in smaller pieces: dentists went from 53 to 139.
Do this"Not listed" can be a tool's limit, not the truth.
A menu that wouldn't open
BrokeOn my florist site, the mobile menu did nothing when tapped.
FixA speed setting was loading the page's scripts in the wrong order. Turned that setting off.
Do thisAfter any speed tweak, open your site on your phone and tap every button.
A chatbot that failed every time
BrokeMy florist chatbot couldn't look up a single order.
FixThe host's anti-bot check was blocking the chatbot before it reached the shop. The host let it through.
Do thisWhen a tool fails without a word, check whether the request reached you at all.
